Unitarian Fellowship of London Pride Celebrations – 2025 Happy Pride London! The Unitarian Fellowship of London joins in the annual London Pride celebration. We have participated in Pride for many years, and this year we will be meeting people while parading with Gusto in the streets and at the UU Pride Booth at the Annual 3 Day Outdoor Festival at Victoria Park, Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20. For the first time, our booth will host Global Importune letter signing on behalf of persons wrongfully imprisoned because of their sexual orientation. Experience the joy of connecting with other LGBTQ+ supporters Unitarian Universalist answer the call of love. We are proud that Unitarian universalist have been Trailblazers in welcoming the LGBTQ+. We performed holy unions long before marriage was legal in Canada. There have been UU resolutions supporting people of different sexual orientations since 1970, and in 1988, the first openly transgender person was ordained by the Unitarian Universalist Association. Our uu principles guide us through self-examination and action to seek out and transform internalized Prejudice and Injustice in the world. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. Justice, equality, and compassion in human relations. Acceptance of one another, and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations. We are a spiritual home for people who identify with various Faith Traditions and those who identify as atheist, humanist, or agnostic. We support the free and responsible search for truth and meaning. Our mission at ufl is to challenge the Mind, nourish the spirit, and act in the world. And so it’s important to us to celebrate Pride. This year, we particularly lift up black, indigenous, and LGBTQ+ people of colour. We are all part of the interconnected Web of Life. And we all are worth celebrating. This year there will be two hybrid Pride Worship Services. There will be a fulsome joint Pride Worship Service on Sunday, July 13 with Christa Duvall of PFLAG and Elliot Duvall of Trans-London at our regular time of 10:45 am. Note that there will be a PFLAG/Trans-London BBQ following the joint July 13 Pride Worship Service. UUs are welcome. There will be a briefer Pride Service on Sunday, July 20, at a different time of 10:00 am. The early start time is to allow Pride Parade walkers to gather at the Western Fair District parking lot for the 12:00 pm Parade start. Reach out to us through our Facebook page or through Meetup. To get more information about how to connect. Happy Pride to everyone.
